“Hello everyone! I’m Leandro Yasutake, a 33-year-old astronomy enthusiast from Buenos Aires, Argentina.
My interest in planetary astrophotography began around 2012. During that time, I used a SkyWatcher 114/900 telescope with a generic webcam. As time passed, I jumped to a SkyWatcher 14″ GoTo Dobson (which is my current scope), but I continued to use webcams and entry-level cameras. Then, my local vendor told me that QHYCCD was developing a revolutionary new camera: the QHYIII462C. With incredible IR and RGB response, an amazing framerate, an ideal pixel size for my equipment, and low noise, I was fortunate to be one of the first to acquire one in 2020. Since then, it has become my workhorse camera for planetary photography.
