About the two air sockets, excuse me I don't understand well.
Are they for water cooling?
Do they need some aditional accesory?
Are the -50 degrees reached with this aditional accesory?
The temperature is regulated, isn't it?

Regards,
FJ

Hello,

Now I have prepare 50set's stuff and begin to do production for them. It can be finished at this month.

The airsocket is for fill gas like the Argon or dry air. Normally we will fill argon when ship out. But use can fill them by these two socket also.
A simple way is use a dry tube. One side connect the air socket and another side connect a pump . Air go through the dry tube and become dry.

The -50degree do not need additional accesory. Only with the FAN .. The temp is regulated.

Excellent news ..and engineering,Qiu..A nice idea the two air sockets.I think it´s a major "serial"  improvement with respect to QHY8...

What about the engineering/development stage of the filterwheels for QHY9 ?..
Admits 50mm unmounted filters ?

Well..I´m waiting then for first units at disposal through the Spanish dealer..
Thanks Qiu

Hello,

The 2inch filterwheel will release next week. I will post the picture once it released. The first batch is for 2inch filter.
We can also do  the wheel for 50mm unmounted glass. You need to tell me the detail dimention of the glass. The diameter is 50mm, How about
the thickness?

Best regards,

Hello,

1 - for the mounted 2 inch filter, how is the filter thickness limit to fit in your 2 inch mouted filter wheel?
2 - Is your filter wheel software handled through USB?

Thank you.

Francisco Jesus

I to have my eye on this camera, it will have excellent flexibility to suite all my telescopes.  One issue that's very important from an operational point of view is being able to keep libraries of dark frames but in order to do this the camera needs very tight temperature regulation.  You mention 50 degrees C, which would be fantastic, but I would be more than happy with at least 40-45 if it could be regulated to within 0.1 degree.  How accurately can the setpoint temperature be controlled on this camera ?

Will the QHY9 be supplied from the outset with fully functional drivers for major software packages such as Maximdl etc (as has the Apogee version).  For me that's a bit of a go/no go issue.

50mm filters are expensive - does anyone know of a more cost effective alternative ?

Kind Regards
Robert

Hi Qiu..
I use Astrodon LRGB filter set and Baader Ha-OIII-SII filter set ...

Astrodon filters are 49,7mm round and 3mm + - 0.025mm thick
Baader narrowband filters are 50.8mm and 3mm thick...
Even with 1,1mm of difference in diameter..both ftype of filters fits into the filterwheel hole...some screws and washers are used to fit unmounted filters of slight different sizes..

I don´t understand why this is a problem..For example..SBIG makes an only filterwheel size. The holes for filters of the filterwheel  permits to screw 2" filters and also insert 49,7mm and 50.8 mm filters.
So you have ONLY 1 filterwheel valid for 50mm,50.8mm (Unmounted) and also for 2" (mounted) filters..
To fix unmounted filters in the hole they use 3 screws per hole that permits fix different filter sizes.. The 2" filters just screw in the holes..
I attach a documment to show it..
I think this is a perfect "all-valid" solution...

Regards ¡¡

Hello Qiu,

then the filter wheel allows us to fill it with mounted 2 inch filters and unmounted 50.8 filters.
when (more or less) could I ask to my dealer one for me?

Thank you,
