«

I had a little problem with fan on the QHY8 camera.. there was some smoke
(my mistake)
I need to buy a new one, and is this one any good?..
http://cgi.ebay.com/Slim-80mm-x-15mm-12V-3-pin-fan-NEW_W0QQitemZ390065815899QQcmdZViewItemQQptZUK_Computing_DesktopComponents_RL?hash=item5ad1bc015b
Or I can buy one directly from qhyccd?

Hello,
Then fan is no sepcially spec. So you can use any 12V 80*80mm fan. But you should select low speed and low libration fan. You can also order here.

If you decide to get a new fan you can get one from Digi-Key, Part Number
P13571-ND, 12V @ 1.32W, 80x15mm, 2200 rpm. They are $12.

I had to replace mine and it works like the original. Remove the 4 screws on the
fan then clip the leads next to the old fan and splice in the leads from the new
fan, insulate the splice with shrink tubing. You don't have to open the camera.
