There's an easy trick to stop down the lens. Attach it to the camera, set the required aperture stop, press the "Depth of field" button on the camera which closes the apperture from its maximum value to a set one, and while the button is pressed disconnect the lens. The aperture will stay closed at the desired apperture.

Will this adapter set work with the QHY9-C?

From where can it be purchased?

A pricing would be nice to see, and having the products on the websites would help sales.
If you want to sell the stuff, the customers would like to know about it, and not only thru this forum.
I think all distributors offering QHY products loosing out on sales here.
Like the QHY website has a accesories button, when clicked on goes nowhere.
Why aren't the accesories listed (filterwheel excepted) ?
PS: i am not having a go at anyone but it is common sales sense to advertise what you want to sell  Smiley

A lot of people are promoting these camera's (including me) but people are very dissapointed if we can't tell them where to go for accessories  Angry

Camera dealers are all different, with different stock requirment, and local sales trends.
The Nikon adapters i have for instant, are NOT a QHY product, and only get them in as people need them. I do not normally stock them.
You also have individual people making their own adapters for sale.

Suprisingly, these adapters are not a great selling item. Everyone's needs are a little different, so its a balance of what to stock.

Theo this answer doesn't make sense Smiley

I am not asking for dealers to have stock but to list accessories on their websites with prices so we can order them.
This is about showing people who dont follow this forum, what you have for sale.
One example: You are on a website to buy a T shirt, but they dont show you what colours are available and no prices, if it was me as a potential customer, i would leave the site pretty quick.
For example, on your website you could show a stock standard Nikon and Canon adapter with prices, and put a note there that for customised items the price will be more.
The same is for say a filterset or individual filters, everyone here is asking for prices and availability and have to wait for answers.
I still dont know how much an HA filter is or an Canon adapter.
All this isn't even listed on QHY's website Sad
I know for a fact that most astronomy shops have low or no stock of a lot of items and we know that, but we live with it (how else could we endure cold nights outside with the scope).
When i shop online, i see stuff i need and then see some more i need and buy it, if i dont see it i dont buy it (unless i see it somewhere else).
Enough from me,and i will not go into this any further.

Martin.

Interesting.  I didn't even know QHYCCD handled filters!?

I've been trying to find either of the two CCD to Canon EOS lense adapters for over a month.  I've seen them described and written up on this forum.  There was even an e-mail assoc. w/ one to contact for info.  I did... no response!

I submitted a Ticket.  I just got a response but, I think, regarding the wrong adapter even though I did present the forum link.

It would sure be nice if there was something under the Accessories tab.  Even a text listing of all the "stuff" one could purchase for a QHY CCD.  Like IR and AR nosepieces.  Camera adapters.  Filters? Power supplies. Cables. etc.

Just trying to make things a lot easier for QHY camera owners and potential owners...

Hello,
The suggestion of put all accessories on websie is very good. We are preparing the details for it. Includes the mechancial drawing etc. Because there is many accessories, so we need some time to finish them. You can see all accessories one our website very soon. Thanks for your suggestions.

Best regards,
