Saving as TIFF before stretching WILL give you very low level.  I find you need to stretch before saving as TIFF. Maxim is the same. If i save the file as TIFF before i stretch it, i find i lose all my data and, like you, image is really weak, and very dark.

Try and stretch before exporting into a TIFF format.

OK, next time, I'll save the DSS result as FIT file and stretch it with PixInsight which is able to read it.

Hi,

you've got the right camera and the right tools. Sorry I didn't see this thread to help earlier. Capturing with Nebulosity, stacking with DSS and processing in PI is what I do.

Capture raw FITS, stack in DSS, process the 32b TIFF output file in PI. I wouldn't call it 'simple' but it's straightforward. Success guaranteed.
