Hello,

My QHY9 has the same problem as does not work shutter in cold condition.
I tried cleaning the motor bearing by electronic cleaning spray three times.
But, the shutter is not work again in cold condition(about 0 to 5 deg c).  :'(
Please solve this problem ASAP.
I lost the chance to took the good picture. :'(

Best regards,
Watan

Hello,

      The software is here:  http://qhyccd.com/ccdbbs/index.php?topic=1882.0

Please check the motor heating to 50% or 100% and capture an image after power up the ccd camera. Then the camera motor will enter the heating mode.

Best regards,

Hi,

If frozen moist is the problem for the shutter to stick, you may solve it by using acetone instead of alcohol or electronic spray.
the last two options do not evaporate totally, so some stuff stays behind and the problem is not solved
Acetone dissolves water and evaporates totally together with the water.
I always use this to dry my laboratory glass. It's an old procedure to dry without any remains.
Just my 2 cents,

CS, Waldemar
A lot of good stuff
and mostly bad weather

This is exactly what i used and it was cleaned and easily moving.
Using the plasit stem that comes with most spray cans makes it easier to point the spray on the shaft..

But now with motor heating as an bonus option in software control, this may not even be needed.
