hi,
Which one is your QHY8. In the qhyccd product catalog there are three different cameras:  one is QHY8,  one is QHY8L.
another one is QHY8PRO. The appearance of QHY8L QHY8PRO is same. The follow is 8L and 8PRO.

I am also interested in how to take the camera (QHY8L) apart to clean the inside of the glass.  Does just the end with the glass unscrew or does it come apart at the red color band?  Please advise ...

Hi,
There is a manual about how to clean the ccd sensor surface, though you want to clear the fiter, it is the same way.

Thank you very much for the information regarding cleaning the CCD Sensor surface and glass for the QHY8L camera. I followed the instructions and it worked perfectly.

Hello everyone. I really believe that I too will have to proceed with the opening of my QHY8 L, to clean the sensor and the inside face of the slide internally. I'm a little bit afraid   :(, even though I've already done this successfully with my Canon several times. I wanted to know a few things: 1) Is the sensor surface still protected with a low-pass glass? 2) How do I close the front of the CCD tightly? With which substance do I restart the part? Vaseline ?
Thanks in advance to those who take away these doubts. ;) ;) Clear Skies
