The QHYCCD X2 driver for TheSkyX and Mac OSX released.
« on: September 28, 2017, 10:18:48 am »
Hi all,

here is the first release of our new X2 driver for TheSkyX running on Mac OSX machines.
Please go to https://github.com/qhyccdlzr in section TheSkyXDriverPlugin and download the qhyccdx2plugin-1.0.0-macos-i386.tar.gz file. There are a few simple notes how to install it via installer inside that distribution package.

Please note, this driver is still under development (as well as its SDK source), so if you find some problems,
do not hesitate and contact as or directly me at astrosoft@email.cz

This x2 driver is dedicated to TheSkyX application only and will not work with anything else. We also have a classical 64/32 bit libqhy.dylib shared (SDK) library, if you plan to develop your own Mac OSX application. We will release it later.
Thank you,
Jan

Matteo,
thanks for correction. Please note, there will be a new release of the SDK soon, where we fixed several serious issues,
so please wait for that. The main change is proper synchronization between the main and exposure threads for some
QHYCCD's CMOS cameras. This rework took me a bit longet time tha expected, but seems to properly now.

Hi all,

here is an updated delivery (qhyccdx2plugin-1.0.1-macos-i386.tar.gz) of our X2 driver for TheSkyX running on Mac OSX machines. Please go to https://github.com/qhyccd-lzr , to the section TheSkyXDriverPlugin where you can download and install it.

This delivery solves some issues with reconnection to an attached QHYCCD cameras, so now, user may connect, disconnect and connect again to the following cameras without problems. Those cameras are:
QHY5L-II (and probably other QHY5-II models)
QHY5III-174M (and probably all family of QHY5III cameras)
QHY-163, 165, 168, 247 and 367 models.

Next step is checking other types of QHYCCD cameras and releasing their updates when necessary. Also, the temperature control
will be fixed in the next releases, so please be patient...

Please note, this driver is still under development (as well as its SDK sources), so if you find some problems,
do not hesitate and contact as or drop your message directly me at astrosoft@email.cz

This x2 driver is dedicated to TheSkyX application only and will not work with anything else.
Thank you,
Jan

Hi all,
just want to inform you, there is a newer version of TheSkyX x2 driver plugin for MacOS i386, version 1.05 available for download.

Both Linux/MacOS 1.05 versions encapsulate libusb low level library. Now, user doesn't care about how to use that library, its initialisation and releasing is handled by the driver itself. User just calls InitQHYCCDResource() on the beginning of his application and ReleaseQHYCCDResource() at the end and the libusb will be properly used. Please see SingleFrameMode.cpp source file for details.

Hi all,
there are two updated version of TheSkyX x2 drivers:
https://github.com/qhyccd-lzr/TheSkyXDriverPlugin/blob/master/qhyccdx2plugin-v1.0.6-Linux-Debian-Ubuntu-armv8.tar.gz
https://github.com/qhyccd-lzr/TheSkyXDriverPlugin/blob/master/qhyccdx2plugin-v1.0.6-Linux-Debian-Ubuntu-x86_64.tar.gz

Version armv8 is used for TheSkyX running on Raspberry PI3 or Odroid XU4 machines. Both version were tested on RPI3 & XU4, but
please note, that those embedded machines are very slow for some type of large cameras, like QHY367 - where one image needs 220 MB of memory storage, so do not expect fast imaging. Basically, RPI3 works very well with smaller types like QHY5LII-M, QHY5III174M, etc.
