Hi,
I just got my QHY9S-M. Capture frames, find all frames vertical line. All frames, at same position.
I attached picture of my image.

I tried, change FineTone setting in EZCap, but not disappered.
How can i fix this problem. Could it possible?
Any suggestions?

Hi,
We need to confirm if it is a defect column or a column caused by a hot pixels.

So we need to FIT images. With gain=0.

A column caused by hot pixel is not a defect column.  It due to a hotpixels which generate a lot hot current. And the during the charge transfer, the later pixel is also get part of this current then it looks like a column.  Normally there is a very high value single pixel in the top of this column. This pixel is just the hot pixel cause this .

We have a define here for this condition: If the light frame's bright column can not be subtacted by dark frame. We will report to KODAK and request a replacement of the CCD sensor. If it can be removed by dark frame we think it not a defect column This test is in the cooling conditions.

best regards.

Hi,

This column should cause by hot pixel, it can be remove by dark frame calibration.
And there is another way to remove it in Maxim DL.  (menu Process->Remove Bad Pixels...) then chose the bad column and click "Process" button, then the bad column disappeared.

best regards.

Hello,
You can check with the http://www.qhyccd.com/FAQGeneric.html  to see if it is a bad column.

If it is not a bad column. Just use dark frame or defect column tools to remove it.
